Dr Michael Marett-Crosby leads a group of healthcare and education charities that work in and around Myanmar (Burma) to deliver humanitarian relief, rebuilding of hospitals and universities and a wide range of other projects. His international and Burmese teams support scholarships, access to learning and mobile health units across the country. He was previously a Catholic priest and worked with young people in prison settings.
Healthcare
Our healthcare team is based both along the borders of Myanmar and internationally. This is the largest team under the Foundation, and includes both development specialists and health professionals. We work closely with civil society and other post-coup healthcare partners.
For more information on our healthcare work, please approach us via contact@suufoundation.org
Education
Our small education team is based outside of Myanmar, and supports funding that goes to our principal education partner, and to selected other organisations.
For more information on our education work, please approach us via contact@suufoundation.org
Humanitarian Relief
Our humanitarian team is based primarily along the borders of Myanmar. We work with carefully chosen in-country partners in our priority areas only. We are always glad to receive new proposals to support humanitarian relief.

Human Rights
Suu Foundation is committed to researching, identifying and seeking justice for the victims of human rights abuses in Myanmar. Our team works discreetly to advance these aims, in collaboration with our partners.

The Team
Board Members
The Suu Foundation is supported by a mix of private donors, institutions, and bilateral funds. We maintain and actively pursue partnerships with organisations to amplify our impact and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Suu Foundation conducts careful due diligence on all donations, and enforces rigorously our policies on Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Anti-Money Laundering.
Working in the highly volatile environment of Myanmar, Suu Foundation is careful to ensure that funds reach its beneficiaries. We are especially careful as to the risk of aid diversion.
Safegaurding
Our Safeguarding Policy has been updated in 2024 to take account of new risks to young people and to vulnerable adults in Myanmar. We are aware that human traffickers and others wishing to exploit the current chaos in Myanmar are active, and the Foundation will do all that it can to keep its beneficiaries safe from harm.
